Yes, I will never forget my son’s surgeon holding my hands in his while he explained how Michael’s 16 1/2 hour surgery went and ended it with, “He’s going to be all right, Mom”.

Oh Dear Friend, I remember one of his surgeries, here, I am not sure this is this one. Your strength and beauty is one of the many reasons I admire you. How you managed to tackle this on your own is what makes your family and children so strong. A good surgeon and anesthesiologist

Not sure of the last time but when I finally got a flat of my own I cried for joy, I felt safe, and I’d earned it myself, very gratifying.

What a feeling, dear Scarlett. I can imagine some extreme relief as well thumbing through you as well! Congratulations, if no one told you then—sometimes we tend to minimize our big private achievements, don’t we?

We do, for some people even those, the big ones feel hollow with the bags of little injuries we carry around. A lot of it has to do with the way you see and treat yourself, that I think is something others have a stronger effect on than we do ourselves, which is wrong, but that’s what we have to fix right?

You are so blessed to have been there to encounter that smile. That smile as you say that said everything. That is peace. Thank you, dear Penny, for telling this story. I your positive ways.
